David Cook is the Next American Idol?

There are only 3 contenders left for the title of its 2008 season. David Archuleta, David Cook and Syesha Mercado. All of them have the potential to be the next best thing. I'm not an avid fan of the show but from time to time I check in Youtube their performances. Since Ramielle was out of the talent show weeks after its season premiere, David Archuleta is my bet for the idol. He's renditions are fresh and at a young age, was able to compete head to head with other competitors. Syesha Mercado is great singer, but i can't connect on the way she deliver her piece. For me she has the least potential to be part of the top 2, I think Brook White deserves to be part of the top 3. That's my opinion.

I dunno, it just popped out one day and i typed the song Always Be My Baby in Limewire and it says a song with David Cook's rendition. I downloaded it and it sounds good. Kirk listened to it and he also liked it. Then, I'm not aware that the one's who's singing is part of AI. Weeks after, I checked YT for some new music videos to be uploaded to my iPod. Then I typed David Cook and he's performance is really a breath of fresh air. This Mariah Carey's original seems resurrected. This event topped iTunes downlaod and starting to hit waves in the Philippines Hot 100 (it premiered at number 72). His version is really cool and its something that stand out. From then I checked his other videos and it left me impressed.

For me he's the NExt American Idol. The other two are lagging out. David Cook stands out :P
