Ripples: Choosing, Living and Achieving by Clarissa R. Hernandez

Are you living the life you choose?

The answer is simple…. Yes!

It’s because what you are, what you have and what you do are all the result of the choices you made. You are where you are right now because of what you have chosen.

If you don’t like where you are, you can waste a lot of time, effort and energy because you can blame someone or something for your situation.

We all have obstacles though, and success in life is based mainly on whether we chose to see those obstacles as excuses or challenges. This makes all the difference in the world.

How do you see life?

Here’s a little secret and a paradox. Once you truly accept the fact that life is difficult, it then becomes vastly easier. When you stop fighting with life and accept it for what it is – the ultimate challenge – that acceptance gives you the perspective you need to overcome any obstacle. When you understand that life is a challenge, then you start to seek challenges, and those challenges build and shape a life of purpose and accomplishment.

We waste so much time trying to make life easy, when we could be spending our energy making life good. Turning obstacles into achievements is the very essence of life.

Joy comes not from comfort, but from living and contributing and achieving.

Here’s one of the things I learned early on… a way to live life…

As long as you’re going to do it, you might as well do it right.

As long as you’re going to show up for work, you might as well do your best on the job.

As long as you’re going to use something, you might as well take a couple of hours to learn all the features.

As long as you’re going to take the trouble raising a family, you might as well make it a happy, well-adjusted one.

As long as you’re going to have a life, you might as well live a life of excellence.

The thing is, it doesn’t take much effort to do something as well as you possibly can. And as long as you’re going to do it anyway, doesn’t it make sense to give it your all? Far too many try to get by with as little as possible. And because of that, if you do just a little bit more than the minimum, expect that you can rise above the crowd.

To quote a friend, if you throw yourself wholeheartedly into everything you do, with a total commitment to excellence, there are no limits to what you can accomplish.

It’s not a matter of time as we all have the same amount of time. It’s a matter of attitude.

Have a great day!
